NCAA Academic Regulations Student Handbook
Student-athletes who wish to participate in intercollegiate must
be the academic eligibility requirements for the NAIA and NCAA.
Incoming freshman must meet both sets of eligibility.
NCAA- Freshman Eligibility
- A minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 based on a maximum of 4.00 scale in a successfully completed core curriculum of at least 13 academic course per Bylaw 14.3.1.2. Please refer to the NCAA Division II Manual for a listing of all the courses.
- A minimum combined score on the SAT verbal and math of an 820 or a minimum sum score of 68 on the ACT test.
- All students must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse and receive final clearance to be eligible for intercollegiate competition at Holy Family University.
NCAA- Present Holy Family University student-athletes
To be eligible to continue to compete in intercollegiate competition,
Holy Family student-athletes must maintain satisfactory requirements
towards their degree completion.
- All student-athletes must maintain a minimum of 12 full time credit hours per semester.
- All student-athletes must declare a major prior to the beginning of their third year of residence and thereafter shall make satisfactory progress toward that specific degree.
- To be eligible all student-athletes must maintain the minimum grade point average:
- After first season of competition: 1.6
- After second season competition: 1.8
- After third season of competition and subsequent seasons of competition: 2.0
