Hall of Fame Induction Criteria
General Criteria
The Hall of Fame shall be open to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in one of the following areas:
- A superior student-athlete
- An individual who was not a student-athlete at Holy Family University, yet has rendered outstanding service to the intercollegiate athletic program through personal time, effort, interest and/or through many years of service.
Specific Criteria
- The student-athlete must have graduated from Holy Family University.
- A student-athlete becomes eligible for nomination to the Hall of Fame five (5) years after graduation from Holy Family University.
- Nominee must have had a significant impact in his/her sport. For example:
- National Awards
- Regional awards
- Conference awards
- Holy Family University school record holder
- The nominee must be of good character and reputation in accordance with the Holy Family University’s mission.
- Deceased nominee(s) shall be given equal consideration to receive recognition posthumously in the Holy Family University Hall of Fame.
- A Team is eligible for nomination five (5) years from the academic year in which it’s regular season of competition was completed. (Teams are defined as student-athletes/coaches only).
- An individual with less than (20) years of service to the Department of Athletics becomes eligible for nomination (5) years after last year of service.
- An individual with (20) years or more of service to the Department of Athletics shall immediately be eligible for nomination.
- The nominee must receive 75% of the selection committee vote for induction.
- The nominee must attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
