The third-seeded Skyhawks (21-8) scored the game’s final five points to defeat sixth-seeded College of St Rose (20-11) for the first time in four meetings this season.

Senior Kelsey Simonds led Stonehill with 19 points, and Tighe finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

St. Rose was led by senior Dana Brown’s 17 points.

St. Rose took its last lead of the game with 1:48 to play on a pair of free throws by senior Ashley Anderson, but Tigue answered on the other end with her three pointer. The teams exchanged scoreless possessions, and St. Rose took possession with 23 seconds to play.

Following a timeout, the Golden Knights inbounded to Anderson, who was called for an offensive foul with 12 seconds to play.
