Women's Softball coach
Head coach Mickey McGroarty, 17th year
Coach McGroarty is entering his 17th year as head coach of the Holy Family University softball program. McGroarty was an assistant for one year before taking over the reigns of the program in 1992. During his tenure, his teams have compiled an overall record of 368 wins, 246 losses, and 4 ties. Coach McGroarty has been a four time recipient of Coach of the Year honors (1994, 1998, 1999, and 2000). McGroarty coaching style is one that expects that his players give everything they have to reach their full potential. Throughout his time at Holy Family, his teams have been known for both their explosive offense and stellar defensive abilities.

Coach McGroarty is the son of Head Coach Mickey McGroarty and is mainly responsible for the technological aspects of the softball program. Assists with statistics and is specifically responsible for coaching the outfielders.










assistant coachAl Vittitow
Al Vittitow is in his first full season as an assistant coach of the Tigers and in his 20th season of coaching overall. Vittitow was hired to the Holy Family softball coaching staff in May 2007. He spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Conwell-Egan High School. Five times Vittitow helped lead the Eagles to a Catholic League Championship. He also was an assistant coach of ASA travel softball for 14 years. His main responsibilities were working with hitters and catchers.
