Holy Family University Volleyball Ends Season with 3-0 Loss to Philadelphia in CACC Tournament (11/11/2008)
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Holy Family University women's volleyball team's season came to a close on Tuesday night after losing to Philadelphia University in the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate (CACC) Conference Tournament, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-23).

Philadelphia received 11 kills a piece from outside hitters Celena Rendon and Katie Miller. Setters Lauren Hoover and Adrienne Stigura added 19 and 17 assists, respectively. Stigura, Miller and Rendon were the top defenders for the Rams as well. Stigura had 13 digs, Miller recorded 11 and Rendon picked up 10.

Outside hitter Katie Hornback (fr. Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian), the CACC rookie of the year, led the Tiger offense with six kills. Outside hitter Jen O'Connor (sr. Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) recorded five kills. Setter Aimee Drabyn (so. Avon, Ind./Avon) had 16 assists. On the defensive end, libero Jordan Beland (fr. New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) recorded 11 digs. O'Connor helped out with 10 digs.

Holy Family closes out its year at 23-14 overall. The 23 wins is a program record. It is also the first time that the team ends its year with a winning record.
