Cross Country men seventh, women ninth at DVC Invitational (9/3/2005) DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Holy Family men's cross country team was seventh, while the women finished ninth Saturday at the Delaware Valley Invitational hosted by Delaware Valley College. For the men, Larry Berner (Fr./Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) took top honors for the Tigers with a time of 30:15, which was good for 15th place. Wayne Hefner (Jr./Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) was the next best Tiger finisher with a time of 31:46 for 23rd place. Other finishers included Chris Drissel (Jr./Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) 33:43/39th place; Dan Sawyer (Sr./Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) 34:11/42nd place; Greg Oswald (Sr./Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) 34:47/48th place and Mike Fine (Jr./Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) 39:44/67th place . For the women, Melissa Hale (So.) took the top spot for HFU with a time of 27:53 for 11th place. Debbie McGrogan (Fr./Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert's) was 35th with a time of 29:01. Other finishers included Morgan Rogers (Jr./Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) 31:48/59th place; Kristy McCrory (Sr./Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) 35:10/66th place and Danielle Cook (Fr./Willingboro, NJ/Willingboro) 37:27/69th place. Holy Family will be in action next Saturday at the Lebanon Valley College Meet. |
