Vogt Paces Indiana (Pa.) University Women’s Lacrosse in 22-3 Win Over Holy Family (4/20/2009)
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Becca Vogt recorded 11 points (five goals, six assists) to lead the Indiana (Pa.) University to a 22-3 win over host Holy Family University in a non-conference women’s lacrosse match on Monday afternoon at Tiger Field.

Amanda Fetter scored a game-high six goals and added one assist in the win for the Crimson Hawks (5-9). Stephanie Bianco and Beth Glasshagel both contibuted three goals and an assist. Alex Slinkard added two goals and one assist, while Corinne Miller scored twice. Kathryn McHugh also found the back of the net. Sarah DeMaio dished out an assist. Bianco won a game-high seven draw controls.

For Holy Family (0-15), attack Jennifer James (so. Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) scored twice. Attack Gina Mansi (fr. Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.) assisted on one of the goals. Midfielder Katherine Podlinkski (fr. Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) tallied the third Tiger goal. Midfielder Kelly McGrogan (gr. Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert’s) led the team with five ground balls.

In net, Holy Family’s Melissa Jenkins (fr. Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) stopped four shots in the loss. Katie Lee recorded three saves in the first half to earn the win. Lauren Cross played in the second half, making three stops. The Crimson Hawks outshot the Tigers, 32-12.

Holy Family’s first ever season comes to a close on Wendesday, April 22 with a road contest at St. Thomas Aquinas starting at 4:00 p.m.
