Holy Family University Women's Lacrosse Season Ends with 12-10 Loss at St. Thomas Aquinas (4/22/2009)
HILLBURN, N.Y. – Attack Jenn James (so. Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) scored three goals to lead the Holy Family University women’s lacrosse team in a 12-10 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas in its season finale on Wednesday.

Attack Lauren Greco (fr. Holland, Pa./Council Rock S.) added two goals for the Tigers. Midfielders Samantha Cornely (fr. Sewell, N.J./Camden Catholic), Jamie-Lynn Wallace (sr. Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth) and Katherine Podlinski (fr. Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) and attacks Meghan McHugh (fr. Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken), and Kelly Kinkler (so. Barrington, N.J./Paul VI) also all scored once. Cornely also tallied an assist.

Kate Quinn scored a game-high five goals for St. Thomas Aquinas. Jen Bruen contributed two goals and one assist. Lindsey Lawless and Anne Buttafuoco found the back of the net twice. Liz Gronwoldt scored once as well.

Jennifer Kugler stood tall in the Spartan goal, making 29 saves. Holy Family’s Melissa Jenkins (fr. Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) recorded 17 stops. Holy Family heavily outshot St. Thomas Aquinas, 54-30.

Holy Family concludes its first season with an overall record of 0-16.
