DiBeneditto Selected to Daktronics Softball All-East Region Second Team (5/13/2009)
BROOKEVILLE, N.Y. – Holy Family University's Angela DiBeneditto (so. Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) was named to the Daktronics Softball All-East Region second team as a utility player on Wednesday afternoon. The voting was conducted by the region’s sports information directors.

DiBeneditto was an outfield, pitcher, first baseman and designated player for the Tigers during the course of the season. Offensively, she was the team leader in home runs (seven), runs batted in (RBIs) (29), slugging percentage (.511) and on-base percentage (.397). DiBeneditto recorded a batting average of .311, which was second. She finished sixth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in home runs. Her is her fourth on the Holy Family single season home run list and eight on the RBIs list.

In the pitching circle, DiBeneditto went 11-11 with an earned run average (ERA) of 2.92. She recorded 91 strikeouts in 143.2 innings. Her win total, ERA, strikeouts and innings pitched are all career-highs.

DiBeneditto and the Tigers went 22-28 overall and 15-9 in the CACC. Holy Family qualified for the CACC Tournament for the second consecutive season.
