Holy Family University Men’s Golf Takes 13th at Dowling September Shootout (9/28/2009)
RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – The Holy Family University men’s golf team opened its 2009-10 season with a 13th place finish at the Dowling September Shootout, hosted by Dowling College at Long Island National.

The Tigers shot a 645 (77 over par) for the 36-hole tournament.

Dan Costello led the Tigers with a 153 (11 over par) to finish in a tie for 15th place. Jon Radick tied for the 23rd position after a two-day score of 155 (13 over par). John Burns was in a deadlock for 61st after finished the event with a score 166 (24 over par). Robert Moratti fired off a 174 (32 over par) to complete the shootout in 71st. Chris Webster shot a 178 (36 over par) and ended up tied for 73rd. Piotr Kopinski completed the Holy Family line-up with a 225 (83 over par) to finish in 80th.

Holy Family will take part in the Charger Challenge, hosted by Dominican (N.Y.) College on Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12 at Spook Rock Golf Club.
