Tuwei Takes CACC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Honors (10/12/2009) NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Holy Family University’s Fred Tuwei (jr. Nairobi, Kenya/Kaptel) earned the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference’s (CACC) men’s cross country runner of the week award on Monday. Tuwei earned the award for the first time this season after winning the Cabrini Invitational over the weekend. He won the event with a school record time of 26:15.87. Tuwei broke his own record, which was set a week ago, by 15 seconds. His victory was the fourth of the 2009 season. The men’s and women’s cross country teams end the regular season at the Delaware Blue and Gold Invite on Saturday, October 17 at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, Del. |
