Curry Leads Holy Family University Women’s Soccer in 3-0 Win Over Caldwell (10/31/2009)
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Forward Dawn Curry (so. Pennsville, N.J./Pennsville) recorded two goals and an assist to pace the Holy Family University women’s soccer team in a 3-1 win over Caldwell in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Saturday.

Holy Family completes its regular season with a 10-8-1 overall record and an 8-3-1 CACC recorded. The Tigers will be the fourth seed in the CACC Championship Tournament. Holy Family hosts Wilmington (Del.) in the opening round on Tuesday, November 3 at 2 p.m. Caldwell ends the regular season 6-10-1 overall and 6-5-1 in the conference.

After a scoreless first half, Curry got the Tigers on the board by hitting in a corner kick taken by midfielder Melissa Benson (fr. Rockledge, Pa./Little Flower) at 56:48. Four minutes later, midfielder Ashley Antczak (sr. Westville, N.J./West Deptford) scored on a sharp angle shot on the near side. Curry played the ball ahead to Antczak for the goal. Curry recorded the final goal at 73:03 after scoring from 10 yards away. Midfielder Lindsay Fisher (so. Oakford, Pa./Archbishop Wood) assisted on the play.

Goalkeeper Gina Mansi (so. Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.) earned the win after stopping three shots in the first 79:08. Michelle Giambrone (sr. Barrington, N.J./Seneca) played the final 10:52. For Caldwell, Kristina Cabales came up with six stops. The Tigers out-shot the Cougars, 24-10.
