Volleyball falls to Millersville, 3-1 (10/20/2006)
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Five Millersville players had double digit kill totals as the Marauders (16-19) defeated Holy Family (9-19) 3-1 Friday night in non-conference play.

For Millersville, Laura Navin had a match-high 17 kills, Patty Pichardo had 14 kills, while Kathy Beneski and Jennie Rohrbaugh added in 12. Emily Bires also had ten kills for Millersville.

For the Tigers, Jen O’Connor (So./Wilmington, DE/St. Elizabeth) had a team-high 14 kills to go along with 25 digs. Emily Culp (Gr./Bensalem, PA/Nazareth Academy) had 11 kills, while Kelly Nepi (Sr./Wilmington, DE/St. Elizabeth) had ten.

Defensively, Kathy Howard had 41 digs for Millersville, while Rohrbaugh had 37. For Holy Family, Kelly Cummins (So./Philadelphia, PA/John W. Hallahan) had 39 with Nepi adding in 27.

Meredith Sinback had 51 assists for the Marauders, with Shannon Whalen (Fr./Philadelphia, PA/John W. Hallahan) having a team-high 26 for Holy Family. Tiger Michelle Copelli (Jr./Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) chipped in with 13 assists.

Holy Family will take on Bowie State Saturday starting at noon.
