Holy Family University Indoor Track Competes in Collegeville Classic (1/18/2008) Collegeville, PA – The Holy Family University men’s and women’s indoor track teams took part at the Collegeville Classic on Friday hosted by Ursinus College. The men’s team finished in 13th place overall. Wayne Hefner completed the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:14.80. Jeff Kinkaid finished in 19th place in the 800-meter run by posting a time of 2:08.64. Larry Berner was six spots back in 25th place with a time of 2:18.28. John McFadden was the Tigers top finisher in the one-mile run (5:05.06). He finished 26th. Dennis Onderjka came in 25th place in the 200-meter dash (25.77) and 31st place in the 55-meter dash (7.48). The men’s 4x400 meter relay team finished the race in sixth place with a time of 3:36.59. The 4 x 800 meter relay team also recorded a sixth place finish (8:39.61). On the women’s side, Christina Cherry recorded a 17th place finish in the 55-meter dash (8.36). Christine Cantatore crossed the line in 22nd in the 400-meter dash (1:13.03). Cherry (31.82) and Cantatore (32.64) had finishes of 25th and 27th, respectively, in the 200-meter dash. The men’s and women’s track teams compete again at the Mulhenberg Invitational in Allentown, PA on Friday, January 25. |
