Sturns Selected to Play in NCAA/NABC All-Star Game (3/24/2008)
Indianapolis, IN – Guard Michael Sturns will represent Holy Family University in the NCAA/National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-Star Game at the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts on Friday, March 28. The game is held in conjunction with the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

Sturns (sr. Fort Worth, TX/North Crowley) has already earned numerous post-season honors including the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) player of the year, Daktronics All-Northeast Region first team and NABC All-Northeast Region first team awards.

Sturns is leading Division II in scoring with 26.6 points per game to go with 6.7 rebounds per game, 94 assists and 70 steals. He holds the school record for most points in a season (824) and most points in a single game (51). He scored his 1,000th career point on January 5.

Holy Family finished the season at 21-10. The Tigers reached the CACC championship game and made their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
