Philadelphia University Women's Tennis Downs Holy Family, 6-1 (10/8/2008)
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The visiting Philadelphia University women's tennis team defeated Holy Family, 6-1, in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Wednesday afternoon.

Philadelphia improves to 11-2 overall and 6-0 in CACC play. Holy Family has an overall mark of 7-3 and a 5-1 conference mark. This is the Tigers' first in-conference loss since October 11, 2005 when they were defeated by the University of the Sciences in the opening round of the CACC Championship Tournament.

The Tigers picked up their lone point in the second doubles match. Melanie Pulsinelli (jr. Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) and Liana Lui (sr. Medford, N.J./Shawnee) defeated Stephanie Reinke and Christina Brzozowski, 8-1.

Holy Family travels to Connecticut to take on CACC opponent Post on Friday, October 10.
