
Baun Becomes Women's Basketball
All Time Assist Leader

Senior point guard Kate Baun (Southampton, PA) became
the Holy Family University Women's Basketball All Time assist
leader with her 3rd assist last night, giving her 554 for
her career, in a 80-30 victory over the Lady Lightning of
Goldey Beacom College at the Campus Center in Northeast Philadelphia.
Baun who is a Nursing Major with a 3.85 Cumulative GPA in the classroom has been a starter for her entire four-year career at Holy Family and has become in the words of head coach Mike McLaughlin "the finest back court player he has ever coached in his 11 year coaching career". McLaughlin added; "Kate is truly a credit to herself, her family, Holy Family women's basketball and the university community. We have been fortunate to have her part of the women's basketball program for four years". Baun's teams have compiled a record of 105 wins and 11 losses in her career to date, including last nights' win over Goldey Beacom.
Junior Center Nina Smith (Waterloo, IA) added 17 points
and 9 rebounds and classmate Jamie Battinierri (Eddystone,
PA) added 12 points and 7 assists as the Lady Tigers exploded
to a 40-10 halftime lead and never looked back in their 14th
victory of the season. The Lady Tigers will host the Lady
Eagles of Teikyo Post University at 3:00 on Saturday January
24th at the Campus Center in Northeast Philadelphia. For additional
