Tigers Win Battle on the Road at West Chester

-By Michael Moran, 11/20/2003

Led by Senior Keisha Brown's (Bridgeton, NJ) 21 points, the Lady Tigers improved their season record to 1 - 1 with a hard fought 67 - 61 victory at Hollinger Field House on the campus of West Chester University over the Lady Rams (1-2). Junior's Nina Smith (Waterloo, IA) and Ashley Dunek (Mt.Laurel, NJ) chipped in with 18 and 10 points respectively for the victorious Tigers.

The score was deadlocked at 25 at the intermission, but a furious start to the second half led by Brown's two 3-point field goals catapulted Holy Family to an 11-point lead, which they never relinquished.

Holy Family will open Central Athletic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Tuesday November 25th when they travel to Delaware to face the Lady Lightning of Goldey Beacom College ( http://www.gbc.edu/athletics/womensbasketball/ ) at 6:00 P.M.
