
Lady Tigers Tame Golden Bears

On Monday December 1st, Holy Family's women's
basketball team traveled to Kutztown, Pa to play the host,
Lady Golden Bear's of Kutztown University in a NCAA Division
2 non- conference battle.
Holy Family jumped out to a 12-6 lead with a strong inside
play led by junior forward Ashley Dunek (Mt. Laurel, NJ)
and center Nina Smith (Waterloo, IA) who combined to
scored 10 of the teams first 12 points. The Tigers roared
out to a 36-17 half-time lead and increased their margin to
30 points midway through the 2nd half and went on to a solid
68-41 road victory.
In addition to the solid play of the veteran Lady Tigers,
a few of the newest members of the team added to the team's
success on the road last night. Freshmen center Megan Bauer
(Ridley, PA) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocked
shots and classmate Colleen Perkins (Willow Grove, PA)
added 18 minutes of high intensity play with 4 points, 3 assists
and 2 steals.
The Lady Tigers next game is at home on Wednesday December
3rd at 6:00 P.M. in the Campus Center against Caldwell College
