Senior Biology Student Presents Poster

Senior biology student Alhagie Tobb presented his research poster at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) held in Phoenix in November.
Working under the direction of his research mentor Associate Professor of Biology Robert Cordero, PhD, Tobb presented “Growth Inhibition and Antioxidant Properties of Aqueous and Methanolic Extracts of the Leaves from a Variety of Hosta Plants.”
Tobb, originally from Gambia, and Cordero secured a travel grant of $1300 to travel to the conference.
Former Assistant Professor of Chemistry Kishore Bagga, PhD, also collaborated on Tobb’s research.
