School of Business Accredited by ACBSP (5/4/2011)
The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has granted initial accreditation to the University’s School of Business Administration.

Dean Jan W. Duggar, PhD, received the news from an ACBSP executive on April 19. He said it was an important milestone for the business school.

“It is our assurance to our students, their parents, and the business community that we hold ourselves up to meet these high-quality standards of education in business,” Duggar said. “It is important for us in recruiting students.”

ACBSP accreditation ensures that the curriculum and the faculty teaching it meet or exceed business industry standards. The organization promotes continuous improvement and recognizes excellence in business education programs around the world.

Almost two years ago, the School of Business Administration began the process of earning the distinction of ACBSP accreditation. The University also is accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges.
