COMMUNITY SERVICES
It's Goat Week
The Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Club will aid in the war against human trafficking by selling t-shirts and bracelets for the purpose of purchasing goats to be donated to poor families in places like Cambodia.
"Why goats?" you may be asking yourself... Goats are a sustainable source of income and it is our hope that the income that results from selling goat milk and goat cheese will prevent parents from selling their children into trafficking.
T-shirts ($12.00) and yarn bracelets ($1.00) will be available (Monday, November 9 through Thursday, November 12) in the Campus Center Commons and the ETC Lobby during the lunch hour during Goat Week. Orange was the color chosen for both the t-shirts and bracelets as it is the recognized color of freedom in the fight against human trafficking.
