RESIDENCE LIFE
Holiday Shopping Spectrum Style
The Holiday Seasons are just around the corner and the stress of shopping coupled with the stress of finals can become quite overwhelming. Yet there is great news to help you deal with the burden of finding the best gifts for the ones you love.
As you know the Wachovia Spectrum has closed its doors forever with a marvelous concert by legendary Pearl Jam becoming the final footnote in a historic building that played host to the Broad Street Bullies, historical NCAA tournament games, the 76ers championship run, the Philadelphia Phantoms, countless musical legends, as well as appearing in the Oscar winning movie Rocky. Although the building has seen its last audience it’s not to late for you to own a piece of history as you can now bring home a plethora of relics from the soon to be demolished arena that captivated the hearts of Philadelphians for over 42 years.
From stadium seats that witnessed the magical unfold throughout the years, to pieces of the hardwood that hosted the final 76ers game at the Spectrum, to crystal replicas of the building, you can bring the Spectrum home with you forever. They are sure to make the perfect gift for the avid sports collector, or just the proud Philadelphian who remembers what the Spectrum meant to this city. Not only can you own a piece of the Spectrum but also you can also choose from an assortment of commemorative t-shirts, hoodies, and caps, the wonderfully crafted book God Bless the Spectrum which details the moments that defined the buildings rich history.
